• Richland High School Dance Department

The Richland High School Dance Department consists of over 100 students ranging from grades 9-12. Within the dance department there are dance classes ranging in level from beginner to advanced, as well as a dance for athletes class. At Richland, students have the opportunity to take dance as a Fine Arts and a PE credit at the same time. While in dance class, students experience several dance genres such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary and lyrical. In the dance for athletes class, students will study body rehab, injury prevention, pilates and yoga in addition to basic dance technique in the various genres. As a member of the dance department, students have the opportunity to take field trips, participate in the National Honors Society for Dance Arts and produce three shows throughout the year. The Richland Dance Department is under the direction of Mrs. Annie Gibson.

The Royal Line Dance Team is a dedicated group of campus ambassadors that perform at all RHS varsity football games, select RHS varsity basketball games, as well as their own shows and competitions in the spring and various community appearances.
