Track and Field
- IsaiahDavid Kayembe, Haltom High, District, Area and Regional Champion in the long jump. He was also a state qualifier.
- Roddrick Roberts, Jaylen Gordon, Jalen Easley and Jayden Finley, Richland High, District Champions in the 4x100 relay.
- Xavier Johnson, Richland High, District Champion in the long jump.
- Rylee Robinson, Richland High, District Champion in the girls 800m.
Top-ranking students at Birdville, Haltom and Richland high schools for the Class of 2024 were recognized. Scholars include:
- BHS: Carter Topley, valedictorian and Callum Aspaas, salutatorian;
- HHS: Javier Gallegos, valedictorian and Nhi Bui, salutatorian;
- RHS: Ayrina Lopez, valedictorian and Ryan Pang, salutatorian.

Administered the oath of office to Place 3 Trustee Brenda Sanders-Wise, Place 4 Trustee Matthew Womble and Place 5 Trustee Richard Davis.
Elected the 2024–25 officers for the Board of Trustees. They are: Kris Drees, president; Ralph Kunkel, vice president; and Brenda Sanders-Wise, secretary.
Approved the donations from:
- Multiple vendors to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s Teacher of the Year Gala;
- IN2 Architecture to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s Curriculum & Instruction (C&I) Department;
- Renaissance Learning to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s C&I Department;
- Imagine Learning to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s C&I Department; and
- VLK Architects to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s Hall of Honor.
Approved employee compensation including:
- $62,750 starting teacher pay, and
- a three percent of midpoint raise for all staff.

Approved the resolution authorizing a one-time retention payment of $1,000 for all full-time employees that have begun employment with the District no later than August 31, 2024, and who are still employed under contract, employment agreement or in a permanent position on a full-time basis as of September 13, 2024. Approved the superintendent or designee to negotiate the Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with Tarleton State University for dual-credit courses.
Approved the Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with Tarleton State University Distinguished High School Partnership Program. This MOU guarantees automatic acceptance for 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ students graduating within the top 50 percent of their respective classes.
Approved the District’s investment officers to establish and manage a State and Local Government Series (SLGSafe®) investment account.
Approved budget amendments.

Approved the bids/purchases for:
- Bi-directional amplifiers and distribution antenna systems for enhanced first responder radio coverage from BearCom/Motorola Solutions;
- Cafeteria furniture for multiple campuses from Indeco Sales and School Specialty, LLC.; and
- Laptop computers for Child Nutrition from Delcom.
Approved the contracts with:
- Property Casualty Alliance of Texas for liability, auto and property insurance; and?
- Workers’ Compensation Solutions for workers’ compensation insurance.
