    91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s Child Nutrition Department and Director Michelle Risenhoover were recognized for being awarded the USDA 2023 Gold Level-Turnip the Beet Award. This award reflects the District’s commitment to ensuring children in our community receive high quality and nutritious meals during the summer months.

    The Birdville Council of PTAs 2023–24 President Shawna Barnes and Fifth Vice President Clothes Connection Karen Dixon were recognized for their outstanding leadership of the Birdville Council of PTAs and Clothes Connection.

    VASE Students

    Thirty-two students from Birdville, Haltom and Richland high schools were recognized for their artwork advancing to the Texas Association of Art Educators’ Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE). They are: Callum Aspaas, Raegan Beranek, Linh Khanh Bui, Maggie Bui, Kelly Burch, Alondra Carillo Martinez, Avah Carrasco, Joshua Daniel, Alyssa Dotson, Falisha Esmail, Amy Fuentes, Brianna Gilpin, Alexa Guzman Ascencio, Brooke Hampton, Lottie Hamre, Raelynn Hearne, Emmerson Hickey, Isabella Grace Jennings, Allan Kurderer, Sierra Lin, Lily Maples, Madison Mayo, Jabel Munoz Cruz, Louis Nguyen, Daisy Sandoval, Rachel Taylor, Cohen Topley, Phuong Anh Tran, Violet Treaster, Julie Naomi Trotter, Sadie Jane Wells and Ida Wepngong.?

  • Approved donations from:

    • HKS, Inc. to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ Athletics
    • Five Star Ford to Birdville ISD’s Library Services

    Approved the K–12 science, social studies (Personal Finance Literacy), and Career and Technology Education (CTE) textbooks.

    Approved local Board Policy EIC (LOCAL) Academic Achievement: Class Ranking. This change impacts new assigned weights to semester grades; assigning new weighted numerical grade averaging; designating when the District calculates class rank; and, information concerning the Collegiate Academy of Birdville.

    Approved the waiver for renewal of expedited staff development minutes.

    Approved the 2024–25 Instructional Materials Allotment and TEKS Certification template and the 2024–25 Allotment and TEKS Certification form.

    Approved the 2024–25 Professional Learning Calendar.

    Approved budget amendments.

  • Approved the contract for: 

    • Commercial card services from JPMorgan Chase.

    Approved the purchase of:

    • College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams; 
    • and Serving line replacements at Thomas and Spicer elementary schools from Supreme Fixture Company, Inc.

    Approved the purchase of: (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds)

    • Student Chromebooks from Delcom Group; and
    • Buildingwide public address systems, classroom audio systems, and safety and security systems at the Griggs/Kunkel Complex, and Smith and Mullendore elementary schools from Audio Enhancement Inc.
