  • BHS Wrestlers

    Birdville High School’s wrestlers were recognized for their accomplishments at the district, region and state levels.  

    • Triniti Casteel: District 5-5A Champion; 
    • Waleed Khairi: District 5-5A Champion, Regional Placer and State Alternate;
    • Reese Bradford: District 5-5A Champion; and  
    • Boys Team: District 5-5A District Team Champions. 

    HHS Wrestlers

    Haltom High School wrestlers were recognized for their accomplishments at the district, region and state levels. 

    • Carla Campos: Two-time 4-6A District Champion, Region 1-6A Champion and voted Most Outstanding Wrestler in the Region, and fifth place at UIL State Tournament; and
    • Landon Godinez, District 4-6A Champion.

    Dr. Jennifer Perry, Executive Director of Instruction and Advanced Academics, and Sarah Upchurch, Assistant Director of Professional Learning, were recognized for winning the 2024 Learning Forward Texas Outstanding Professional Learning Award. This recognition is a testament to their unwavering pursuit of professional learning excellence.

  • Approved donations from: 

    • Richland Area Band Boosters to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ Fine Arts;
    • Hellas Construction to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ Athletics; and 
    • Skeeter Kell Sporting Goods to 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ Athletics. 

    Approved the request to delegate authority to the superintendent or designee to approve routine utility easements for construction projects. 

    Approved budget amendments.

Bids/Contracts/Final Payments Awarded

  • Approved the contracts for: 

    • Energy management services from Cenergistic, LLC; and 
    • External auditor services from Weaver and Tidwell, LLP. 

    Approved the purchase of: (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds) 

    • Ten additional school buses from Thomas Bus Gulf Coast GP, Inc. 

    Authorized the superintendent to analyze and award the bid for flooring at Birdville High School, Porter and Walker Creek elementary schools, and painting at Thomas, North Ridge, and Watauga elementary schools. 

    Approved the ratification of the Haltom High School renovations and additions to Lee Lewis Construction. 

Future Board Meeting

  • Thursday, April 25, 2024, Regular Board Meeting, open session at 7 p.m., Boardroom.

  • THE BOARD MET IN SPECIAL SESSION on March 7 and took the following actions:

    Approved the order of cancellation of the 2024 Birdville ISD board of trustees general election. Trustees Brenda Sanders-Wise, Matthew Womble and Richard Davis were unopposed.
