U.S. News & World Report Middle School Principals
Recognized Foster Village, Green Valley, Hardeman, North Ridge, Porter, Smith, Smithfield, Snow Heights, Spicer, Stowe, Thomas and Walker Creek elementary schools; and Haltom, North Ridge, Richland and Smithfield middle schools for being named in the U.S. News & World Report's 2023–24 Best Schools rankings. These schools have demonstrated exceptional educational quality, earning their place among the best U.S. elementary and middle schools at both the state and national levels. The distinction of being ranked among the Best Public Schools reflects the commitment to academic excellence in the education of all students of these high-achieving schools.

Approved revisions to Board Policy FNCE (LOCAL) Student Conduct: Personal Telecommunications/Electronic Devices. This change requires all listen-in technology to be disabled while the device is on a campus and prohibits the transmission of audio and video images of other students.
Approved the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Proposed Policy Update 122. Update 122 reflects changes in the law based upon recent administrative law and court decisions. Revisions were made to policies:?

Approved the resolution establishing non-business days in accordance with HB 3033 (88th Texas Legislature (2023)).

- A pavilion and canopy for the Cheney Hills Elementary bridge parking lot to Goldsmith Construction Company, Inc.
Approved the contracts for: (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds)
- HVAC replacement and upgrades at Holiday Heights and Watauga elementary schools and the Administration Building to Lee Lewis Construction;
- Electrical work at press boxes at Birdville, Haltom and Richland high schools to Morgan Electric, Inc.;
- Roofing projects for Spicer and Walker Creek elementary schools to ACI Roofing, Wall Panels & Sheet Metal;
- Roofing projects for Thomas and North Ridge elementary schools to CS Advantage USAA, Inc.; and
- Construction material inspection and testing services for the new Smith Elementary to GeoTex Engineering.
Authorized the superintendent to analyze and award the bid for renovations and additions to Haltom High School.
Approved the ratification of the Birdville High School courtyard renovations to Lee Lewis Construction.
