The Birdville ISD Board of Trustees was recognized for its leadership and commitment to the students of the District.
Bobby Amador was recognized for his longtime volunteer service to the high school marching bands as a key driver of the 18-wheeler that hauls the band’s equipment.
91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾’s Finance Department, led by Dr. Missy Glenn, was recognized for receiving the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) Pathway to Meritorious Budget Award.
Summary of Actions

Approved donations from:
- Birdville United Band Booster to Smithfield Middle School; and a
- Personal donation to BCTAL Auto Tech.
Approved the Order of Trustees Election for Saturday, May 4 to fill Places 3, 4 and 5 (currently held by Brenda Sanders-Wise, Matthew Womble and Richard Davis respectively).
Approved new course offerings for the 2024–25 school year.
Approved the resolution regarding Senate Bill 763. Trustees affirmed the current practice of a District campus permitting any community members who meet requirements, including chaplains, to volunteer to provide support, services, and programs for students in accordance with the district’s existing policy and declines to expand the District’s current support, services, or programs under Chapter 23 of the Texas Education Code.

Approved the purchase of:
- Custodial and industrial paper supplies from multiple vendors;
- Child Nutrition paper and cleaning products from multiple vendors; and
- Fine Arts supplies, equipment and uniforms from multiple vendors.
Approved the contracts for: (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds)
- Electrical projects at Foster Village Elementary from Morgan Electric, Inc.; and
- Press boxes at all high school football, baseball and softball fields from Freedom Construction.
Authorized the superintendent to analyze and award the Birdville High School courtyard project bids and execute all contracts in order to maintain the project schedule. (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds)
Approved the contract for:
- Playground replacements at North Ridge, Spicer, Thomas and Watauga elementary schools with Lea Park & Play, Inc.

THE BOARD MET IN SPECIAL SESSION on January 9 and took the following action:
Approved the amendment to the School Resource Officer (SRO) Shared Services Agreement with the City of Richland Hills.
