Richland High School Students
Top-ranking students at Birdville, Haltom and Richland high schools for the Class of 2022 were recognized. Scholars include: Lauren Aswad, valedictorian, BHS; Vi Bui, valedictorian, HHS; Casey Biggs, valedictorian, RHS; Gibson Wolk, salutatorian, BHS; Elaine Zhu, salutatorian, HHS; and Sloane Tolbert, salutatorian, RHS.Jacob C. Cohen, Birdville High School senior, was recognized as a National Merit Finalist.
Six seniors were recognized as commended scholars in the National Merit Scholarship Program. They are: Barrett Clark, Birdville High School; Hailey Tucker and Hannah Walker, Haltom High School; and Jakob Harrigan, Sloane Tolbert and Casey Biggs, Richland High School.
Three juniors were recognized as National Hispanic Scholars. They are: Kathleen Paz, Roman Rodriguez and Mia Sorola, Richland High School.
Adriana Fackender, Richland High School junior, was recognized as a National African American Scholar.

The Theta Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma has partnered with 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ to provide suitcases full of essentials for our graduating seniors who are experiencing homelessness. This is the second year in a row that Delta Kappa Gamma has done a suitcase project for our homeless teens. They have also donated many gift cards to support the needs of homeless families in 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾. Delta Kappa Gamma members recognized were: Janet Scott, Dr. Suzie McNeese, Suzanne Nickel, Lynda Hamilton, Susan Hittle and Susan Walker.

Administered the oath of office to Place 6 Trustee Ralph Kunkel and Place 7 Trustee Kris Drees.
Elected the 2022–23 officers for the Board of Trustees. They are: Kelvin Dilks, president; Richard Davis, vice president; and Kris Drees, secretary.
Approved the revised Local District Innovation Plan (DOI) for school years 2022–27 as presented.
Approved the expedited and general waivers.
Approved modifying the 2021–22 Instructional Calendar due to missed COVID-19 and inclement weather days.
Approved the waiver request for missed instructional days at Hardeman Elementary due to storm damage.
Approved the dual credit memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Texas Woman’s University.
Approved naming the track and field complex at Richland High School the Hamm-Hudson Track & Field Complex. Coach Hugh Hamm and Coach Kathy Hudson had more than 50 years of service to the track and field program at Richland High School.
Approved Missy Glenn, executive director of business and federal programs, and Katie Bowman, associate superintendent for finance, as the authorized contracting executives between the District and Frost Bank.
Approved Missy Glenn, executive director of business and federal programs, as an authorized 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ representative with First Public Lone Star Investment Pool.
Approved the resolution authorizing Missy Glenn, Donna Wade and Katie Bowman as the District’s representatives with TexPool.

Approved the interlocal agreement with Tarrant County for repairs to potholes and seal coating of the asphalt parking lot at the 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ Plaza.
