Course Description:?All 91ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÍøÕ¾ students are required to complete 1 credit of PE or qualified substitute. Students may complete up to 4 credits of athletics or physical education towards requirements for graduation. The district will award state graduation credit for physical education for the following: Each semester of JROTC and UIL competition sports; the fall semester of marching band; private or commercially-sponsored physical activity; programs conducted off campus if they are Olympic-type activities. To be elig ible for receiving physical education credit, the program shall involve a minimum of 15 documented hours per week of intense training that includes a minimum of five documented hours per week of student participation in physical activities. Activities may include ice skating, gymnastics, ballet, fencing, equestrian sports and swimming. Course Description:?The Lifetime Fitness and Wellness Pursuits course offers current approaches for the foundation of personal fitness, physical literacy, lifetime wellness, and healthy living. Students in Lifetime Fitness and Wellness Pursuits will apply the knowledge and skills to demonstrate mastery of the concepts needed to achieve lifetime wellness. Students will participate in a variety of physical activities for attaining personal fitness and lifetime wellness.
